History of Eastern Lancaster County

Garden Spot High School located at 669 Main Street New Holland, PA is on the same road as what was once known as New Holland Machine. Grown out of a blacksmith shop, New Holland produced tractors, combine harvesters, balers, haying tools, and other equipment used to maintain lawn and turf. In 1947 Sperry purchased New Holland Machine and renamed it Sperry New Holland. The company has since changed hands enentually passing to Italian car maker Fiat in the 1990’s, it’s currently known as Case New Holland (CNH).
